Depending on the destination, hay and other agricultural commodities may require phytosanitary inspection, treatment, laboratory testing, declarations, certificates, or specific import permits.
Western Forage works with the appropriate inspection and export authorities at origin to coordinate applicable certification.
However, the importer remains responsible for confirming the current import requirements of the destination country and obtaining any necessary import permits or registrations.

Shipping & International Logistics

Shipping Terms
Depending on the destination and transaction, quotations may be available under internationally recognized Incoterms such as:
FOB — Free on Board
Western Forage coordinates the product and agreed export arrangements to the named port of loading, while the buyer arranges the main ocean freight according to the agreed Incoterm.
CFR — Cost and Freight
We arrange the product and ocean freight to the agreed destination port. Marine insurance remains the buyer’s responsibility unless otherwise agreed.
CIF — Cost, Insurance and Freight
We arrange the product, ocean freight, and applicable marine cargo insurance to the agreed destination port in accordance with the agreed sales terms.
